Marouane Fellaini is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer and uncertainty about his future at Old Trafford has continued to grow.

Express Sport revealed the 30-year-old would not be signing a new deal with the Red Devils, having rejected a contract renewal in September.

And fresh reports have suggested Fellaini has now informed the club he will be leaving at the end of the season, opting against a January exit.

The Sun claim he will depart the club on a free transfer in the summer in search of regular game time and a new challenge.

Jose Mourinho is said to have been determined to keep the Belgian who has become a key utility player at Old Trafford.

However, the United boss has reportedly been unable to convince him to stay and will allow him to move on.

He is free to negotiate a move with all foreign clubs this month and has been linked with a switch to Turkey or China.

Speaking last month about his future, Fellaini admitted he had made a decision but would not be making it known.

“Honestly, I do not know. I have something in my head but I cannot tell you,” he told Belgian outlet HUMO.

“This is my tenth season in England. Except for the very first at Manchester, I only knew good times. I’m still here.

“We have talked about it [leaving Man Utd]. The coach is someone who respects the decisions of his players.”

Fellaini has made just 13 appearances for United this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in all competitions.
