UK digital minister promoted to culture secretary

The UK's minister for digital, Matt Hancock has been promoted to Secretary of Culture in the latest reshuffle of Theresa May's cabinet. He replaces Karen Bradley, who becomes Secretary for Northern Ireland. 

Hancock is MP for West Suffolk and has served at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport since July 2016 as digital minister, responsible for broadband, broadcasting, creative industries, cyber and the tech industry. A successor as digital minister has not yet been named.
