PATNA: A
dentist allegedly sodomized a 14-year-old boy at the former's residence at Biscomaun Colony under the Alamganj police station area in the state capital on Monday night.
Police said the class IX student's father, who is an electrician, on Tuesday lodged an FIR naming Dr Amitabh Tiwary (42) as the accused. Dr Tiwary runs a clinic in Kankarbagh area in the city.
Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj said investigation were on. "If we get evidence, the doctor would be arrested," he said.
Sources said the boy along with his parents was living on the ground floor of the house on rent while the doctor lived on the first floor. "The boy's family had gone out of Patna four days back, asking him to sleep upstairs," a police officer said.
According to the FIR, the boy as usual had gone to sleep on the first floor on Monday night when the doctor allegedly called him inside his bedroom and had unnatural sex with him.
The boy's parents returned on Tuesday morning when he narrated the incident to them. The boy's medical test has been conducted and its report was awaited by police. "We also recorded the statement of the boy," the police officer said.
