Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that ‘Mukhya Mantri Divyang Cup’ will be started soon on the lines of Vidhayak and Mukhya Mantri Cup. Smt. Scindia was addressing the state level review meeting of the District Sports Officers at T.T. Nagar Stadium here on Monday.
Smt. Scindia mentioned that Madhya Pradesh has carved its altogether different niche at the International level. Madhya Pradesh will also succeed now to register the presence of its sportsmen in Paralympic games.
She gave instructions to the Sports Officers to send details about the divyang players to the Directorate by gathering information from their respective district with the coordination of Social Welfare Department within couple of days. Beside this, they must conduct talent search by organizing games for divyang children at district level.
Minister Smt. Scindia gave directives in the review meeting to implement pay and play scheme in all the available sports infrastructure in the state, to ensure participation at block, district and division level for organizing Mukhya Mantri Cup and to send the information of Hockey Feeder Center functioning in the districts in the prescribed format to the Directorate.
Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Aniruddha Mukherjee and Director Sports and Youth Welfare Upendra Jain were present on the occasion.
