9:30pm: Liverpool ace Ryan Kent is wanted by Bristol City and Sheffield United.

The talented midfielder is back at Anfield having had a loan stint at Freiburg cut short

7:20pm: Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson looks set to move to Italian outfit Bari.

The midfielder has been training with the Serie B side this week as a transfer edges closer.

5:15pm: Thomas Lemar will not be moving to Liverpool during this transfer window.

RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi is adamant that a move to Merseyside isn’t on the cards.

When asked on Twitter by a Liverpool supporter if Lemar is moving to liverpool, he replied: “Several sources explain at the time that Liverpool won't move.

“After that may be moving in the next few days. From elsewhere for the time being no movement on Lemar.” 

4:00pm: Cristiano Ronaldo reckons Philippe Coutinho will forever be in the shadow of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Barcelona.

Spanish news outlet Diario Gol say Ronaldo has told pals that Coutinho has been drafted in to simply support Messi and Suarez.

The Portuguese has warned that Neymar quit Barca because he was fed up playing a similar role

3:35pm:  Real Madrid chief Zinedine Zidane says he won't splash the cash during this transfer window. 

"For the time being I don't want to bring anybody in. We'll see what happens between now and January 31. I'm happy with my squad,” he said. 

2:45pm: Joey Barton believes Ross Barkley will struggle for first-team football under Antonio Conte.

The midfielder completed his £15m move from Everton last week. 

But speaking on talkSPORT this morning, Barton questioned the transfer.

"And I can't see Ross Barkley starting for that Chelsea side," he said.

"Drinkwater has come in and done well and then it is kind of Hazard and Morata beyond that.

"I don't really see where Ross Barkley fits in to the current Chelsea style under Conte."

2:15pm: Cristiano Ronaldo is open to joining Chelsea.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Portuguese attacker still wants to leave Real Madrid and the Blues are interested in the player.

It is reported Blues chief Roman Abramovich is willing to allow Eden Hazard to move in the opposite diection as part of the deal.

The Russian billionaire is desperate to sign a marquee player in the summer.

2:00pm: Liverpool target Leon Goretzka will announce his future later this month.

The Schalke wantaway has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, as well as Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

And the club's sporting executive Christian Heidel claims Goretzka will confirm his decision in the coming weeks. 

"It will not be long before a decision is announced, and it will not drag out until the end of January," he told Funke Mediengruppe.

1:30pm: David Moyes will have the final say on Joe Hart's future this month.

Manchester City are reportedly happy for their goalkeeper to leave West Ham and move elsewhere this month.

Newcastle have been heavily linked with the shot-stopper.

And according to the Daily Express, Moyes will decide whether to allow him to join the Tyneside outfit.

Hart has fallen behind Adrian in the pecking order at the London Stadium.

1:00pm: Manchester United are planning to swoop for Celtic's Kieran Tierney. 

The 20-year-old is available for around £25m despite signing a new six-year deal back in October.

According to the Daily Mirror, United are eyeing the Scot due to Spurs placing a £50m price tag on the head of Danny Rose. 

The England international has worked his way back into the first-team fold in north London and looks set to stay.

12:15pm: Arsenal are ready to offer Mathieu Debuchy as a makeweight in a deal for Jonny Evans.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the West Brom star, who is valued at £25m.

And according to the Evening Standard, Arsenal want to offload the right-back in their quest to sign Evans.

Debuchy played under Alan Pardew at Newcastle.

11:45am: West Ham have been linked with a move for Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.

The Frenchman is out of favour at the Emirates and was left out the squad for yesterday's 4-2 drubbing at Nottingham Forest.

And according to the Daily Mirror, Hammers boss David Moyes is keen on swooping with a £10m move.

West Ham have also been heavily backed to sign Newcastle star Jonjo Shelvey.

11:00am: Antoine Griezmann is demanding a whopping £400,000-a-week to leave Atletico Madrid for Manchester United.

The forward, who is also being chased by Barcelona, almost joined the Red Devils in summer.

But now the Catalan club are interested, Griezmann is demanding £100,000-a-week more than United were offering in the summer.

According to the Sun, an Old Trafford source said: “The goalposts have moved significantly since the first attempt to sign Griezmann.

“The package offered last year which was agreed is now a lot less than what he wants next summer.

“It might be too much even for us to afford. The club is desperate to sign him but it is an awful lot of money."

10:30am: Juventus want to use Mesut Ozil's friend to secure a transfer for the German.

The Italian outfit are ready to battle Manchester United for the midfielder.

But according to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus want Sami Khedira to persuade Ozil to join the Serie A club.

The duo are both of Turkish-German descent and have played together at Real Madrid and for Germany.

10:00am: RB Leipzig are determined not to allow Naby Keita to leave the club this month.

The Guinea international has signed a deal to join Liverpool at the end of the season.

However, reports suggest the Reds are willing to offer more money to secure the signing this month.

But Leipzig CEO has told German outlet Bild, "Neither Naby nor his agent have made the request to leave the club in the winter.

"There are contracts, and they say that he will be a Liverpool employee from July 1 onwards."

9:45am: Manchester United and Chelsea may profit from a transfer 'crisis' at Roma.

The Italian outfit have admitted they need to sell players in this window to balance their finances.

And according to CalcioMercato, Kevin Strootman may be the player to make way.

The publication reports the midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League duo.

9:15am: Gary Cahill believes Ross Barkley is a 'bargain' for £15m.

Chelsea secured the signing of the midfielder last week and the player has already trained at Cobham.

And speaking after his side's 0-0 draw with Norwich, Cahill said: "When you look at the market in this day and age, it's a snip for a player like him.

"I've played with him, and trained with him, and I know what he’s capable of."

8:45am: Alan Shearer believes Virgil van Dijk will not fix the problems at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has been criticised for his defence this season. 

Liverpool splashed out £75m on Van Dijk in the hope of shoring up their back line.

But Shearer believes the Dutchman's arrival in January isn't enough to improve their squad.

“He is an answer – not the answer,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“They still need a goalkeeper and perhaps another centre-half.”

8:15am: Chelsea have dealt a transfer blow to Crystal Palace. 

The Blues have announced they have no interest in selling starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to the Evening Standard.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form during his loan spell at the Eagles.

Speaking last week, Roy Hodgson said: "The way Ruben's been playing for us, he's a player we'd like to have at our club, there's no doubt about that."

7:45am: Rafa Benitez is still hoping to secure a move for Chelsea winger Kenedy.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Tyneside in recent months.

However, Chelsea are reluctant to allow players to leave on loan until Antonio Conte has signed reinforcements.

According to the Chronicle, Benitez is hoping the deal can be completed in the coming days. 

7:00am: Liverpool asked Barcelona if they could take Philippe Coutinho back on LOAN. 

The Reds floated the idea to the Catalan club before the Brazilian completed his £142m switch. 

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool's FSG owners made the suggestion to Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian.

However, the player rejected the offer. 

Coutinho is set to undergo his medial this morning. 

6.00am: Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly opened talks with former club Chelsea about signing David Luiz.

The pair worked together at Stamford Bridge and the defender is seeking an exit after being frozen out by Antonio Conte.

According to Caught Offside, Mourinho has been in touch about getting a deal done this month.

But the Blues are apprehensive about dealing with United as they harbour regrets about selling them Nemanja Matic during the summer.

5.30am: Gareth Bale will not be shipped out of Real Madrid, even if the club make a move to sign Neymar from PSG.

There were concerns that Neymar’s potential arrival would spell the end of Bale’s time in Spain.

But according to Don Balon, Perez has made a U-turn and decided that Bale does have a future at the club.

He still harbours ambitions to bring in former Barcelona sensation Neymar and dreams of playing him and Bale out wide, with Ronaldo through the middle.

And that would put the future of Benzema in doubt, although Real have reportedly turned down a £60m bid for the Frenchman from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.

4.00am: Manchester City are confident of completing a deal for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez this month.

According to Goal.com, the two clubs have been in negotiations since Friday.

Arsenal are dragging their heels in their £35m valuation of the Chilean but City are confident they can lower the price to around £25m.

Pep Guardiola and his board are keen to get the deal done as early as possible to prevent a repeat of last summer’s fiasco.

2.00am: Real Madrid have identified Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois as their top transfer targets, according to Sky Sports expert Guillem Balague.

He said: "Real Madrid need big names and they have lined up Courtois, they want Hazard.

"Those are the kind of names they want for next season.

“Doesn't mean they will get them, but that's the shopping list they have.

"It's becoming clearer in the minds of the directors of Real Madrid they need another striker, that Karim Benzema has to be sold.

“He doesn't even have the backing of the fans.

"Real Madrid will always do their plan of getting a Galactico every year or couple of years.

“And they realise their front men are getting older, it's more difficult for them to score."

0.00am: Luis Suarez has already secured a house for new Barcelona team-mate Philippe Coutinho.

Upon in arrival in Barcelona, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu questioned which hotel the Brazilian would stay in, but Suarez intervened.

He said: “No, presidente, there is no need for a hotel. I already have a house for him.”

And the 25-year-old is grateful that Suarez, who he played with for one season, has been so helpful.

“He saw that a house next to his became available,” he told The Daily Mail.

“He didn't know I was coming for certain but he liked the idea. It's a kind gesture.

“We've seen the pictures, the views look amazing. We are in touch all the time and I look forward to seeing the property with my family. I know Luis will help us to feel at home.”

11pm: Antoine Griezmann will demand £400,000-a-week if Manchester United attempt to sign him this summer.

The Frenchman was linked with a switch from Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford last year but the move never materialised.

Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be considering going back in for him for £89m at the end of the season but will face stiff competition from Barcelona.

And according to The Sun, the 26-year-old is willing to try his hand in the Premier League if the offer is right and is ready to snub Barca.

Griezmann reportedly agreed on a wage of £290,000-a-week last summer but he now wants to be on parity with other superstars that are making big-money moves.

10.20pm: Arsene Wenger insists he will look to strengthen his Arsenal squad after they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest.

"No, I cannot give you any news on any transfer because we are not close to signing anybody," Wenger said after the defeat at the City Ground.

"We signed a Greek boy [Konstantinos Mavropanos] who looks quite good in training but apart from that, we have not done anything.

"Will we be out there to do something? Yes we will."

Asked whether there could be further developments this week, Wenger added: “Yes because we are in the second week of January. After that, it passes quickly.”

9pm: Paris St-Germain star Lucas Moura is ready to reject four clubs in order to join Manchester United, according to reports in France.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his wide options in the transfer market.

And reports in France claim United have received a huge boost in their pursuit to sign Brazilian Moura this month.

Telefoot claim Moura has attracted interest from Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice and Real Betis but has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

7.30pm: Philippe Coutinho’s arrival at Barcelona will signal the end of Andres Iniesta’s Nou Camp career.

The midfield maestro is moving Barca from Liverpool - subject to a medical - for a mammoth £142m fee.

And according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, the deal will see Iniesta eased out of the first-team fold.

6pm: Luis Suarez is delighted to be reunited with Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona.

"I am very happy with the arrival of Coutinho," ex-Liverpool man Suarez said.

"He's a great player. It's a profile that the team will enter very well."
