Research logistician Human induced-Pluripotent Stem cells (hiPS) : Liege, Belgium

The Department of Biomedical and Preclinical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of University of
Liège, is looking for a full time research logistician to work in the field of human induced-Pluripotent Stem cells (hiPS).

Job description:

The research logistician will build a hospital-university platform for the production and differentiation of human induced Pluripotency Stem cells (hiPS).
The mission of the platform will be to provide
technological and scientific support to all teams of the Faculty of Medicine who carry a project integrating pluripotent stem cells.

The research logistician will be in charge of:

- Reprogramming, amplification and quality control of adult somatic cells into hiPS or transdifferentiated
cells;
- Culture of hiPs and their full characterization;
- Evaluation of new reprogramming techniques;
- Development of differentiation methods of human iPS cells into various cell types of interest
in partnership with the laboratories concerned (such as cardiomyocytes, central nervous
system cells, retinal cells, cochlear cells, renal cells, etc.);
- Development of a research program in microfluidics applied to cell differentiation;
- Supervision or co-supervision of master thesis and PhD students;
- Involvement in community service activities of the Department of Biomedical and Preclinical
Sciences.

Requirements

The candidate must:
- Be titular of a doctoral degree (degree (PhD) in biomedical/pharmaceutical sciences or
equivalent;
- Have a postdoctoral experience abroad;
- Have specific skills in the field of hiPS and research abilities at an international level (good
publication track record);
- Have human abilities to work in a collaborative environment and be able to work in full
autonomy;
- Good knowledge of English is required (at least, level B2) and a good knowledge of French is
an asset.
