Lloyd E. Sandstrom, 93, of Macomb, formerly of Blandinsville passed away at 9:19 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born on April 28, 1924 in LaHarpe to Alfred J. and Mary Maude Cook Sandstrom. He married Mary Hanson on Aug. 8, 1954 in Sciota. She survives.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pauline Blackledge.
Lloyd lived most of his life in the Blandinsville and Sciota areas before moving to Macomb.
He worked as a US Postal carrier for 32 years, retiring in 1997 and was a farmer for many years. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the former Sciota Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at the First Christian Church of Blandinsville with Pastor Gordon Blankenship and Pastor Tommy Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville.
