NEW DELHI. BJP Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday accused Congress President Rahul Gandhi of being a hypocrite who doesn't see hate when Sangh activists are murdered.
"When RSS workers are brutally killed in Karnataka and Kerala every now and then, Rahul doesn't see any hatred in it", said Prasad.

The Union minister was reacting to statements made by Gandhi Scion while addressing a convention of NRIs in Bahrain on Monday. The Amethi MP had targeted BJP for "playing politics of hate" in India.

Responding to Rahul's remarks, Prasad asked if the stance taken by Rahul led Congress on triple talaq promoted love or hate.

"They (Congress) can't take one stand on issue related to women rights, women justice and dignity of women and they are teaching BJP govt what it should be doing on foreign soil," said Prasad.

The information and technology also lashed out at former PM and Rahul's father Rajiv Gandhi for his position on Shah Bano case in 1985.

"From Shah Bano to Shayara Bano (one of the petitioner fighting to put an end to triple talaq), Congress has only done appeasement by bowing down in front of Muslim hardliners," Prasad claimed.

"If there is one party, which has done politics of hate and communalism for the longest time, then it is Congress Party," he added.

Prasad contrasted the Congress chief's address last night with that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to 270 Indian origin (PIO) parliamentarians in which he focused on boosting ties between India and other countries.

Prasad further accused Rahul of propagating hate through his speeches in India, which he claimed were "seldom factual". He blamed Rahul for "breaking India" by supporting the likes of Umar Khalid.

"It is his choice if he wants to say untruthful stuff in India, but he shouldn't be taking political differences to foreign land. Such behaviour is highly irresponsible and shameful. By doing this, he brings disrepute to India's reputation abroad," Prasad argued.
