The Middleboro girls track squad improved its record to 4-0, as it defeated Mashpee in a South Shore League meet by a score of 66-26 at the Reggie Lewis Center on Monday.

The Middleboro High girls track squad improved its record to 4-0 as it defeated Mashpee, 66-26, in a South Shore League meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Monday.
First-place finishers for the Sachems were Ruth Mahoney (55-meter hurdle, 300m), Brianna Lee Bowens (dash, long jump), Laura Hatch (shot put), Tristen Gomes (high jump), and Caitlin Swanson (1000m).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Middleboro 78, Mashpee 20: The Sachems (3-1) were victorious in the South Shore League as Evan Gwozdz (long jump, 55 meters), Brandon Hogan (shot put, high jump), Paul Giovanoni (mile, two mile), Trevor Spillane (600m), Sean Rutledge (1000m), and Ian Gilson (55m hurdle) all finished first.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Fontbonne 75, Notre Dame Academy 39: Senior Annabelle Larnard of Scituate dropped in a season-high 28 points and added 10 rebounds in leading the Ducks to the Catholic Conference win at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy.
Sophomore Tasha Lima (16 points, four assists, four steals) and senior Ari Sauvignon-Howard of Brockton (10 points) also contributed to the Fontbonne (7-0, 2-0) victory.
Kristin Barrett scored 11 points for NDA.
Bristol Aggie 40, Southeastern 32: The Hawks (2-4) were led by Jasmine Hamilton (13 points), Nia Mendes (eight points), and Asha Molin (seven points).
South Shore Votech 57, Upper Cape 22: Jade Watts had a career-high 18 points with three steals to lead South Shore in its Mayflower League opener. Maddie Dixon (four points, seven rebounds, three steals and nine assists), Lexi Adams (10 points), and Taylor McKinnon (10 points) were also instrumental in the win.
BOYS ICE HOCKEY
Taunton 4, Cardinal Spellman 3: The Cardinals (1-7) received goals from Thomas McSweeney, Griffin Cournan and Michael Bowen. Goalie Zachary Richards had 25 saves.
The Cardinals made things interesting late with Bowen’s goal with 33 seconds left in the game.
BOYS SWIMMING
Oliver Ames 76, Stoughton 46: The Tigers came up with the Hockomock League win.

Oliver Ames 91, Stoughton 67: The Tigers were victorious in the Hockomock League contest.
