New Delhi, Jan 9: Former Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Tuesday renewed his attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership questioning the background of Sanjay Singh, Arvind Kejriwal’s trusted aide.
Mishra, who was sacked by Kejriwal last year after he alleged that the Delhi CM was involved in corruption, tweeted photos of two passports of Sanjay Singh with different signatures. Mishra also questioned why Sanjay Singh’s passport was valid only for a period of one year. The AAP recently nominated Sanjay Singh to Rajya Sabha along with Sushil Gupta and ND Gupta.
“One year validity passports – issued to criminals or individuals under doubt. Generally it’s ten year validity for normal Indian citizens. Different signatures, 2016-17 missing,” Mishra said in a series of tweets.
Mishra had earlier alleged that last yer’s Russia tour of AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh was funded by businessman Sheetal Prasad Singh, a person related to a company which is facing probe in a Rs 400 crore scam. He alleged that Singh was linked to several companies involved in the scam relating to high security number plates, and the Anti-Corruption Branch was probing the issue. Mishra, who is MLA from Karawal Nagar constituency, was suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party after he raised corruption allegations against Kejriwal and minister Satyender Jain. He had claimed that the Delhi chief minister and AAP received money through hawala network.
Mishra also rejected a Delhi businessman’s claims that he had donated Rs 2 crore to the AAP. Mukesh Sharma, a property dealer and tobacco trader, had claimed he donated the money through a demand draft on March 31, 2014.
