The North Penn School District recognized North Penn High School (NPHS) junior Bill Wermuth for recently being selected to sit on the National Association of Secondary School Principals Leadership Advisory Committee.

Wermuth currently holds a regional representative position on the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils State Executive Board. After being nominated by the Pennsylvania Association of Secondary and Elementary School Principals, he went into another application pool of 50 students from each state. With the help of NPHS Student Government Association adviser Mr. Kyle Berger and NPHS Principal Dr. Todd Bauer, Wermuth applied for this distinguished position in the fall of 2017. From there, he was one of two high school students from the United States awarded the position. This position will afford Wermuth the opportunity of traveling to Capitol Hill for executive board meetings and attending conferences including the National Student Conference in Minnesota and the Leadership Experience and Development Conference in Washington, D.C.
