Snowshoeing at Fort Refuge: Audubon Fort Nature Refuge, 1443 Providence Pike, North Smithfield. asri.org. Group will explore, look for tracks and signs of wildlife, and if there's snow, hike the trails. Provide your own snowshoes (can be rented from REI). For teens and adults. Register online. Sat 10 a.m.-noon $14, $10 for ASRI member.

Valley Talks Lecture Series: Museum of Work & Culture, 42 S. Main St., Woonsocket. 769-9675, rihs.org. Artist Benjamin Lundberg Torres Sánchez talks about the Colombian community's contributions to the Blackstone Valley's textile industry.
