With the new year now well underway, it is now time for the films to kick off their production. And one of the new films kick-starting their schedule is Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor‘s upcoming horror comedy. The film will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who directed the Sidharth Malhotra – Jacqueline Fernandez starrer A Gentleman.
Updating us about it, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao posted a picture on their Instagram handles. Rajkummar captioned the picture writing: “Getting ready to roll our horror comedy with the most wonderful @shraddhakapoor #ReadingSessions. #Whatsthetitle @MaddockFilms,” while Shraddha captioned the picture: “But….. what’s the title? The genre of horror comedy is one that is little explored in Bollywood. But one that has been quite a hit among the audience, and Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again has been a testament to it. The franchise made over Rs 200 crore with the film being a raging success in what had been a rather damp year at the box office prior to it.
Rao, who has already some experience with the horror genre, having starred in the first instalment of the Ragini MMS franchise had earlier said, “I have done a horror film earlier, but it is the first time I am doing a horror comedy. As far as preparation is concerned, there is still time because right now I am shooting for Fanne Khan and my whole energy is focussed towards Fanne Khan.” Are you looking forward to another horror comedy this year?
