2 cow thieves tonsured, paraded in Uttar Pradesh

VARANASI: Two cow thieves were tonsured and paraded with a placard carrying the word 'gai chor' at Rasda village of Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district on Monday .

When Rasda police reached the area, the miscreants fled. Police have taken the two cow thieves into custody and are trying to identify those who tried to disturb the atmosphere by tonsuring and parading the two men publicly.


The police said that the people of the area noticed the two trying to escape with cows and raised an alarm, following which dozens of villagers gathered and beat up the thieves. Rasda station officer Jagdish Yadav said a case was lodged against the two thieves on the complaint of cow owners.
