GYMNASTICS: DL second team places fifth at Clemensen Invite

“They both, along with the other girls, really gained some positive experience,” DL head coach Steve Zamzo said.

Ehnert and Horner were 13th and 14th overall in a field that included No. 9A Perham.

The Yellowjackets won the meet scoring 142.95 led by all-around runner-up Jada Olsen. Perham’s Dena Fischer captured the bars title.

Keeley Ertl of North Branch won the all-around title scoring 36.9 to Olsen’s 36.75.

Ehnert scored 34.05 with her best finish on beam placing 11th.

Horner scored a total of 33.9 placing seventh on bars in her top routine. Teammate Skylar Nelson also placed in the all-around in 23rd place scoring 32.05.

DL’s fifth place team total was 131.65.
