Mumbai: A 28-year-old woman and her 24-year-old boyfriend have been booked for allegedly killing the woman’s husband in Bhiwandi. The body of the husband was discovered from under the bed at their residence on Sunday. As per Shantinagar police in Bhiwandi, the incident might have taken place either on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

The woman, Gulshaba Kaif Soni, had an affair with 24-year-old Rizwan Mohammed Quareshi for a year. Woman’s husband used to run a cutlery business in Agra while her boyfriend was a butcher. The two were married for four years and had three kids.

The police think that Kaif found out about his wife’s affair, this led Gulshaba and Rizwan to conspire against Kaif and kill him. They allegedly slit Kaif’s throat, wrapped his body in bedsheets and hid it under the bed, and fled the scene along with the children.

M Bagga, police inspector, Shantinagar police station, said to Hindustan Times, “The incident took place a few days ago. The neighbours alerted us after a foul small started emitting from the house. When we broke down the door, we found that Kaif’s throat had been slit and his body had been wrapped in a bedsheet.”
