Legislative fellow selected from Wesley College

Wesley College senior Victor Rosas-Granda, a political science major, was selected as a 2018 Legislative Fellow.

The Legislative Fellow program began in 1982 as a partnership between the University of Delaware and the Delaware General Assembly and has since grown to be sponsored in cooperation with Delaware State University and Wesley College.

Rosas-Granda, a native of East Hartford, Connecticut, is just one of 14 students selected for the upcoming legislative session and the fourth Wesley student to be chosen. He will be working with the House Minority Caucus.

The process encourages graduate and undergraduate students with a strong background in public administration, political science, sociology, urban affairs, public policy, economics, or business administration to complete the application. Once they reach the interview stage, they interview individually and on a panel and complete a timed-written exercise on a current public policy issue.

The fellowship involves working in Dover 20 hours a week from January through June, completion of a three-credit graduate seminar “State and Local Government: Management and Policy” and a stipend.
