Former Gophers football coach Tracy Claeys has been hired to be the defensive coordinator at Washington State, a person familiar with the situation told the Star Tribune.
Claeys agreed to a two-year contract to work under head coach Mike Leach. Coincidentally, Claeys defeated Leach and the Cougars in his final game as Gophers coach — the 2016 Holiday Bowl.
