Rosemary ‘Topsy’ Culmo

SOUTHBURY – Rosemary “Topsy” Culmo, 92, wife of the late Ernest Culmo, entered into eternal rest Jan. 5, 2018.

She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Wilfred and Josephine Coppola DeVincent. Rosemary was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Derby and worked for Bic Pen for 25 years.

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved sister, Carol Mattrella; brother, Armand DeVincent; cherished aunt, Rose Borrelli; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Culmo (Wall); cousin, Grace Patten.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Marilyn Lucarelli; son, George Culmo; grandchildren, Nicole, Chloe and Cree; son-in-law, Denis Lucarelli; her cousins, Phyllis Marciano, Steven Stango and Betty Stango.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church in Derby (formerly St. Mary Church). Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church (jenkinskingfh.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Topsy was a loving, caring person who always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed.
