ROCHESTER — Great Bay Community College will host an open house Thursday Jan. 11 from 4-6 p.m. at its Rochester Campus and at its Portsmouth campus at the Pease International Tradeport. Those interested in taking a course or enrolling in a degree program for either the spring, summer or sall semesters are encouraged to attend, according to spokesman Lisa Proulx.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about over 50 degree and certificate programs including bioengineering, nursing, biotechnology, massage therapy, analytics, surgical technology, liberal arts, psychology, hospitality, motorcycle maintenance and repair, advanced composites manufacturing, veterinary technology and more. information will also be available on new pathways in sports management, insurance and risk management, leadership & management and sales and digital marketing available through the college’s business administration degree program.
The admissions staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist with the application process. The $20 application fee will be waived for all open house attendees. Advisors will be available to discuss transfer partnership programs with four year colleges and universities including the new dual admissions program with the University System of New Hampshire. Representatives will also be on hand from the college’s Center for Academic Planning and Support and Financial Aid office as well as the free WorkReadyNH employability initiative designed to enhance the workplace skills.Information will be available on non-credit program offerings through the College’s Business and Training Center.
The event is free to the public and refreshments will be served. To register for the Open House attendees are encouraged to visit www.greatbay.edu/openhouse Those interested in starting this January who bring their high school diploma or transcript will be admitted “on the spot” to any of the general programs at Great Bay.
