American Red Cross making urgent call for blood donations

LENA — The American Red Cross is making an urgent call for blood donations in response to a winter blood donation shortage.

A donation opportunity will take place from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Lena American Legion Hall, 316 Main St.

To make appointments: 800-733-2767; the American Red Cross Blood Donor App; redcrossblood.org. Donors also can use redcrossblood.org/rapidpass to complete pre-donation reading and the health history questionnaire.
