The Grey's Anatomy firehouse spin-off still doesn't have a title, but at least we now know why. Speaking with reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Monday, President of ABC Entertainment Channing Dungey said that the network simply hasn't settled on one yet.
"The truth of the matter is, coming up with a title is one of the most challenging things that we do," Dungey said, noting that Grey's Anatomy itself didn't have a title until literally right before the show aired. "We've gone through a number of different options and ideas. We really want to make sure what we settle on is the perfect piece. ... We didn't want to come out with something here at TCA and then change it a couple weeks later."

Dungey hopes to be able to announce a title within the next couple weeks. "We have a few final ideas that we're rolling around. We obviously want to absolutely have it before we begin marketing it officially to the public," she said.
The series, which will follow Ben Warren (Jason George), is set to debut Thursday, March 22, one week after the Scandal series finale. But there is at least one title Dungey says fans can rule out: Seattle Fire. And honestly, that's probably for the best.
