New fallen snow and warmer temperatures made for slushy and slippery road conditions Monday morning. As a result GPS routes were lighting up red all over southeastern Michigan.

In Macomb County, several accidents were reported including westbound Interstate 94 at 12 Mile Road where only the left lane is open due to an early morning crash.

Motorists are advised to go slow and leave plenty of time to arrive at your destination.

By 7 a.m. Monday, the Michigan State Police Metro Detroit post (@mspmetrodet) tweeted that motorists should “take it slow on ice and snow” after responding to “11 crashes across the district.”

• Tuesday — mostly sunny conditions, with a high near 30, falling to an overnight low of 21.

• Wednesday — a chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then becoming rain, and a high near 40. More rain in the evening, a low of 37

• Thursday — chance of showers in the afternoon, high of 46.
