Thibodaux Police identify shooting suspect

Thibodaux Police have identified a suspect in a shooting that occurred about 5:25 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of St. Charles Street.

Gary Williams should be considered armed and dangerous, Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue said in a news release. He is about 5 feet 10 inches and 185 pounds with multiple tattoos.

Zeringue said Williams shot the victim in the upper leg after a fight. The victim was hospitalized.

Anyone who knows where Williams is can contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or crimestoppersbr.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may receive a $1,000 reward.
