The Chamber Music Society of Detroit will introduce a new three-day chamber music festival, WinterFest, Jan. 19-21 on the Oakland University campus.

Performers include Trio Solisti, the Aeolus Quartet, and three musicians with ties to Michigan: soprano Ann Toomey, pianist Tian Tian and violist Yuri Gandelsman. They will appear in different combinations in three weekend concerts, at 8 p.m. Jan. 19-20 and 3 p.m. Jan. 21, performing major works by Brahms as well as Haydn, Dvořák, Ives and Beethoven.

The two participating ensembles, Trio Solisti and the Aeolus Quartet, are both based in New York.
