DONALD Trump typically works fewer than two hours a day, according to leaked schedules.
While the US President does get up at 8am, he enjoys regular spells of “executive time” throughout the day when he is tweeting, watching cable TV or chatting to friends.
His first meeting of the day is at 11am for an hour, followed by a 45-minute afternoon session.
The reports raise more questions about Mr Trump’s fitness for office as he struggles with the fallout from the book Fire And Fury: Inside The Trump White House, by Michael Wolff.

The schedules obtained by politics website Axios are different from those previously made available.
At 11am, his start is far later than George W Bush, who usually arrived in the Oval Office at 6.45am.
President Obama turned up at 9am.
Mr Trump’s schedule for today is shown below:

8am: Get up for three hours of executive time (tweeting and watching cable TV, usually at his residence)
11am: Start work in the Oval Office. First meeting is usually with chief of staff John Kelly
12pm: More executive time for an hour
1pm: Lunch
2pm: Executive time again for an hour and 15 minutes
3.15pm: Meet National Security Adviser H R McMaster
4pm: End working day, return to residence for more tweeting and cable TV
6pm: Dinner, typically McDonald’s
6.30pm: More cable TV, phone calls to friends and tweeting

Tomorrow follows a similar pattern, starting with a one-hour intelligence briefing at 11am.
He has lunch and more executive time until 2pm, before meeting Norwegian prime minister Erna Solberg.
His final official duty is at 4pm, a video recording with his press aide.
The following day is even lighter as he has policy time for an hour at 11am before executive time from 1.30pm.

Two people were injured in a fire at the top of Trump Tower which saw plumes of smoke belch out of the Manhattan skyscraper.
The blaze was sparked by an electrical fire in a cooling tower of the 68-floor high-rise that was Donald Trump’s home until he moved into the White House.
