At this time of year many of us start thinking of booking holidays to escape the post-Christmas slump.
But January can also a difficult month money-wise. In fact, a whopping 7.9 million people in the UK will struggle to pay their bills this month after an excessive festive period, according to the debt charity Money Advice Trust (MAT).
In order to help you find a bargain break, airport transfer company hoppa has looked into the cost of 100 destinations worldwide.
As part of their 2018 report the company have released the cheapest and most expensive holiday hotspots, based on the price of accommodation.
The best beaches in the world

This year sees Denpasar crowned the cheapest holiday destination in the world, with hotels costing an average of just £33 a night.
The capital city and main hub of the Indonesian province of Bali is a laid-back beach city and is perfect if you’re strapped for cash.
Although the flight might cost you a fair whack, the minuscule prices once you get there will mean the overall cost will remain low.

If you’re looking for a new budget city break destination, Kiev might also be a good shout.
Just a three and a half hour flight from the UK, the capital city of Ukraine could be set to be the next big tourist destination for Brits.
At the other end of the spectrum is New York, which knocked Zurich off the top spot as the most expensive location.
A night in the Big Apple costs an average of £346.05 – but of course budget options such as hostels or Airbnbs could help cut costs.
Venice came out as the second priciest hotspot, with the average night in the Italian city costing £241.
