PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is receiving a new patch for its Xbox Game Preview version, offering what developer Bluehole calls "incremental" improvements, including to the frame rate.
The PUBG Development and Community Team posted the announcement along with other patch notes on the PUBG Forums.
Frame rates on both client and server sides have been increased slightly, and some VFX have received slight optimizations. A number of crash-inducing issues have also been addressed, as well as a UI issue that occurred when multiple players attempted to loot from the same object.
The patch will add FPP Solo matchmaking queues for North American, European, and Oceanic servers, with other modes to follow. The patch also adds an on/off switch for the game's music, and aim acceleration is now adjustable. Players will also now deal increased weapon damage to vehicles.
The team acknowledges that this patch will not solve all of the Xbox version's outstanding problems:
"We know there is still work remaining in order for us to reproduce and address all remaining issues", reads the patch notes' intro. "Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap."
