A VEHICLE in the Selby district came off the road and crashed into trees after failing to stop for police.

Temporary Inspector Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police, said the driver was going to go poaching.

The vehicle was not taxed or insurance, he added.

It came off the road yesterday after being chased by police vehicles.
