RANCHI: Cold wave conditions prevailed over the state for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday after minimum temperatures dropped to 5°Celsius on average.
State capital Ranchi recorded the season's coldest at 5.7°C in the early hours of Sunday, four notches below normal. Mercury levels in
Kanke on the outskirts of Ranchi dropped to 3.6°C.
Bokaro experienced its coolest night of the season at 4.2°C, seven notches below normal.
In the north,
Daltonganj shivered at 4.2°C while Pakur recorded 4.8°C.
Jamshedpur to the south recorded 6.5°C, nearly five notches below its normal while
Chaibasa recorded 5.8°C, the Met office said.
