JOSE MOURINHO insists Manchester United's sunshine break in Dubai will be no holiday camp for his stars.

The United squad have jetted to Dubai for some warm weather training following a hectic run of games.

United have just finished a run of five games in 14 days during the busy festive period, with injuries and suspensions taking a toll on the team.

With a week to go until United's next match, against managerless Stoke, Mourinho has decided to give his players a change of scene by taking them to the Middle East.

Several members of Mourinho's squad have taken to social media to post pictures of the trip.

“We need to recover, but at the same time we also need to train”

But Mourinho has warned them it will be hard work as he looks to focus on tactical work on the training ground.

Mourinho admits recent weeks have been more about rest and recovery in the short gaps between games.

He said: "We need to recover, but at the same time we also need to train because during this crazy time we have not had many times to work on details that you want to work on.

"It's been more about the recovery from the match and the travelling and the preparations for the next one, without time to work.

"If we can have time to have a good, nice week to recover some injured players and tired players and, at the same time, work on some tactical details, then I think it would be good for the second part of the season."
