The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been chock full of feminist statements and side-eye from the start -- but it might have all come to a head with the evening's hotly-anticipated Thelma and Louise reunion. When Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon took the stage to present the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama), they took the opportunity to address Hollywood's gendered pay gap with a bit of good-natured trolling.

The co-stars of the original, award-nominated 1990s classic about a pair of lady outlaws on the run were together again on the Globes stage January 7, and still making noise more than twenty years later about sexism in the film industry. Geena Davis, who has become an activist icon in her own right as the founder of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, joked that the nominees for Best Actor had all volunteered to give up half their salaries to the women who'd worked on their films -- an announcement that was definitely news to the guys in question, but a satisfying jab nonetheless.

After running down the list of nominees (and causing "Geena Davis height" to become a top-trending search term -- at six feet tall, Davis towered over Sarandon when they stood side by side) the ladies ceded the mic to winner Gary Oldman, who took home the award for his performance in The Darkest Hour.
