Coronation Street’s Samia Ghadie had ‘tricky’ time with husband thanks to Dancing On Ice
CORONATION STREET favourite Samia Ghadie and her spouse Sylvain Longchambon had a “tricky” time thanks to the return of Dancing On Ice.
The soap star, who met her now-husband while competing on the ITV show, endured weeks without him after he accepted a role on the rebooted offering.
Speaking to this week’s issue of OK! magazine, the 35-year-old and her ice dancer beau opened up about the impact of his new role partnering Stephanie Waring.
When asked if he was happy not to be away for training - the actress is also based in the north - the 37-year-old admitted: “Oh yes.
“When they told me I was going to be based in Manchester I was really happy. Probably not as happy as Sam.”

Sylvain, who first joined Dancing On Ice in 2016, continued: “We were both dreading me being based in London or some place far from home.”
The couple went on to discuss whether their routine had been forced to alter, with him admitting it had but only briefly.
“I had to spend three weeks in London before the show started so that was a bit tricky for Sam,” the French hunk stated.

Samia, who plays Maria Connor in Corrie, clarified: “Luckily we’ve got some amazing friends who helped us. I don’t know what we would have done without them. Corrie were great with call times too, so I could drop [son] Yves off at the nursery. He’s been going for a year now and he loves it.”
But, she said she’s “excited” for him to be taking part: “Skating is Sylvain’s passion and it’s what he was trained to do for his whole life.
“I love watching him skate. I feel so proud watching him do something he’s really good at.”
“But you are my passion!” Sylvain cheekily replied.
