SHREWSBURY — The Democratic Town Committee will host a caucus of registered Democrats in town to elect Shrewsbury’s delegates and alternates to the 2018 Democratic State Convention at 2 p.m. Feb. 3 in the meeting room of the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St. Shrewsbury will elect 16 delegates and 4 alternates to represent the community at the convention, to be held June 1 and 2 at the DCU Center in Worcester.
The caucus is open to all registered and preregistered Democrats who live in Shrewsbury. Pr-registered Democrats who will be 18 years of age by September 18 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate at caucus may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
