With the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards very much serving as a showcase for the #MeToo and Time's Up movements against sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood and elsewhere, Aziz Ansari might have inadvertently provided both the most light-hearted and most mysterious moment in the evening's festivities: a long, awkward bleep-out during his acceptance speech.
Ansari won his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) for Master of None and was in the midst of a seemingly off-the-cuff, casual thank-you speech when his mouth suddenly continued moving but no words were coming out -- an unsettling phenomenon enabled by the tape delay on NBC's broadcast of the ceremony. Needless to say, the realization that Ansari had said a naughty word (or maybe even several of them) on a live prime-time awards show sent the internet into a tizzy, as people began wildly theorizing about what could have possibly come out of his mouth. At first, no possibility seemed too extraordinary.

Accepting his award, Ansari triggered the censor when he said, "I'm glad we won this one because it would've really sucked to lose two of these in a row; it would've been a really sh--ty moment for me."
