DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has questioned former BASIC Bank chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bacchu for the third time over a massive loan fraud of around Tk 3,500 crore..

The former Member of Parliament (MP) of Jatiya Party reached ACC headquarters around 2:30 pm on Monday (January 8). 

A notice, signed by the ACC director Syed Iqbal Hossain, was issued asking Bacchu to appear before it at 9:00 am on Monday (January 08).

Earlier on December 17 in 2017, he was summoned for questioning for the third time, but he requested one month’s time on account of his ill-health.
 
ACC registered a total of 56 cases on three consecutive days, 21, 22 and 23 of September in 2015, in BASIC Bank scam. 

A total of 156 persons were accused in the cases filed in Motijheel, Paltan and Gulshan Police stations.
