Observing the 24th anniversary of Regional Science Centre, various events are being organised at the centre’s premises from Sunday. Marking the first day, a painting competition ad sky watching was organised on Sunday.
It is to be noted that the Regional Science Centre was inaugurated in 1995 by the then President of India Late Shankar Dayal Sharma on January 12. So, the celebrations will see various competitions at the centre till January 12.
On Sunday, a painting competition on the topic ‘Significance of Science in Daily Life’ was held. It was for the school students from classes 8 to 12. More than 150 students participated in the competition.
The students painted their perceptions on paper about saving the environment from pollution and other damages. The competition was divided into two categories Middle school included students from the classes eighth to tenth and the second category High school included classes eleventh and twelfth.
The competition was like an extravagance for the little painters and the spectators as well, as they have used their brilliance of painting blended with the perceptions displayed on the painting sheet. The spectators could find almost all kind of art forms in a single show at the gallery.The children wonderfully depicted the uniqueness of science and how science is helpful in daily life of a human in the most creative manner. The participants beautifully showcased their perception through the variations of colours. There were variations seen about science at the painting competition that was truly commendable.
