Lorain police have released more information on a Jan. 6 shooting on East 28th Street.
A fight began at Luna Night Club and continued outside at a nearby gas station, leaving two males with gunshot wounds, Lorain Police Sgt. Buddy Sivert said.
The fight began inside of Luna during a party, causing bar staff to make them leave, Sivert said. However, staff failed to call police regarding the fight.
After leaving the club, the crowd continued to fight in the parking lot of Dairy Mart on Grove Avenue, and two males were shot at 1:38 a.m., Sivert said. One or two unnamed males began firing shots, hitting the victims in their legs, Sivert said. Thirteen shell casings were found at the scene.
The victims were taken to a local hospital by LifeCare Ambulance, then by emergency helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, he said.
There has been no further update on the victims.
