Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri takes home the Best Motion Picture – Drama award which makes it their fourth win for the night. The film that revolves around a grieving single mother’s (Frances McDormand) anger against an arguably corrupt police department that has failed to solve the case of her daughter’s rape and murder had come in with five nominations for the Globes.

Lady Bird bagged the award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. The film beat out fellow nominees Get Out, The Disaster Artist, The Greatest Showman and I, Tonya. Written and directed by Greta Girwig, the film is about a young woman (Saoirse Ronan) in her senior year of high school in Sacramento, California, received four Golden Globe nominations, including for best screenplay (Gerwig), best supporting actress (Laurie Metcalf) and best actress in a motion picture, comedy or musical (Ronan).
