Bodies of KSA road accident victims to be brought back

Necessary measures have been taken to bring back the bodies of 10 migrant workers killed in a road accident in Jizan province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Saturday.

Mostafa Jamil Khan, an official of Bangladesh Consulate General Office in Jeddah, told BSS that all necessary steps have been taken to bring back the bodies within 20-21 days after the completion of formalities of Saudi Arabian government.

Each family of the deceased will get Tk 35 thousand for the burial and each family will get Taka 3,00,000 as financial assistance from Wage Earners’ Welfare Fund as per the government rules.

Ministry sources said concerned Saudi Arabian company will provide the insurance money and financial assistance.

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Minister Nurul Islam BSc today expressed profound shock at the deaths of migrant workers in the road accident in Saudi Arabia.

On January 6, the accident took place when the workers were going to their workplace.
