The Checks Into Cash business on Highway 90 was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday afternoon, according to a Monday morning press release from the Liberty Police Department.

Saturday at approximately 1 p.m., Liberty police responded to Checks Into Cash, in the 1900 block of Highway 90, in reference to an armed robbery.

The initial investigation determined that a white male subject came into the business, brandishing a handgun and a possible tazer. The subject demanded cash. He wore a motorcycle helmet, gloves, grey hoody, grey backpack and black pants. From video of the robbery it was determined that the subject had arrived and left on a mini-bike. The subject came from the south on FM 2684 and left heading south towards South Liberty Oilfield.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the Liberty Police Department at 936-336-5666.
