SES announced that its SES-14 satellite has arrived at the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, and is on schedule to be launched on an Ariane 5 rocket on 25 January. The satellite will operate in the C-band, Ku-band and Ka-band from its final orbital position at 47.5 degrees West, above all serving the Latin America, Caribbean, North America and North Atlantic region. “Not only will SES-14 be meeting the needs of the growing video markets in Latin America, its high throughput capabilities will empower maritime and aeronautical service providers to deliver high-performance connectivity in the Americas,” said SES CTO Martin Halliwell.
