Omantel allows Shahid Plus payments via mobile handset credit

Omantel has announced a partnership with MBC Group to allow customers to subscribe to the Shahid Plus service by using their mobile handset credit. Shahid Plus is a premium video-on-demand (VOD) service operating in the Arab region. The service is available to Omantel postpaid and prepaid customers, who can subscribe for access to the latest films and televison programmes for a monthly fee of OMR 2.

This subscription model of Shahid provides uninterrupted, advertising-free viewing on-the-go. Customers have the option of getting the service fee directly charged to their monthly post-paid bills or debited from their prepaid accounts. In December 2017, Apple recognised the Shahid VoD app as one of the App Store's best applications of 2017 in MENA.
