(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- KUNA Board Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah and Director General of Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) Khalil Hachimi Idrissi discussed mutual cooperation on Monday.
The meeting also discussed issues of mutual concern for Arab media, media agreements signed between Kuwait and Morocco and boosting cooperation between Arab news agencies.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij, also President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), said that he and Idrissi also discussed means of developing services provided by KUNA and MAP.
He noted the growing challenges facing the region and the need for committed cooperation to present and defend Arab issues in international events.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij presented Idrissi with memorabilia shield in appreciation of his efforts to boost ties between the two agencies.
the meeting was attended by KUNA's Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali and Deputy Director General for Administrative, Financial and Communications Affairs Abdulhamid Malak.
After the meeting, Idrissi and his accompanying delegation went on a tour in KUNA to learn of the agency's work scheme and departments. (end) am.ag
