Luggage tips: Avoid doing this everyday trick – or risk having everything stolen
LUGGAGE often contains valuables you want to protect from getting stolen – but don’t resort to putting your address on your suitcase, advises a frequent flyer on Quora.

Losing your luggage on holiday is something to avoid at all costs – and you may take various measures to avoid it.
For instance, using a certain 62p DIY store item is better than a padlock for your luggage, apparently.
However, there is one thing you must never do, according to Richard Clive Rowlands, an event manager and frequent flyer wrote on Quora.
That one thing is leaving your home address on a label on your luggage.
Doing this could leave you vulnerable to people breaking into your empty home.
“Don’t put a residential address on luggage tags,” wrote Richard on the forum.
“It says ‘This house is empty, please burgle - and take your time.’”
Nor will putting a different residential address be any better, apparently.

“Don’t put a friend’s house because the burglars don’t know it’s a friend’s house and will still burgle it.
However, there is an alternative trick you can do to help you get your luggage back if it’s taken accidentally.
“Ideally put a work address and mobile number on it,” said Richard.
“Then, even if your mobile has a problem, your name and work address will help you and your underwear get reunited.”

Recently, it was revealed how to get all your luggage back at the same time as your fellow travellers.
Suitcases sometimes take over an hour to be released on to the carousel after a flight.
This process takes even longer if you have to wait for a number of suitcases.
However, there is one easier way to make sure all suitcases come out at the same time. What do you think it is?
