Wise advice from a very wise lady.

Betty White, a very wise and funny lady, turned 95 years old last January. She's still doing the things she loves—starring in movies and television shows, supporting animal causes, laughing—without sign of slowing down. She's better than anyone to take wholesome life advice from, because she makes it seem like every day for the past 95 years has been the best day of her life. And her advice for longevity and good health is exactly that. As she told Parade in a new interview, her secret is vodka and hot dogs, "probably in that order."

Talk about your brain foods.

White also dispensed some actual wisdom, if you're looking for more than diet advice: “Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

Which sounds really nice, especially when we're constantly being hit with an onslaught of negativity. But not as nice as ensuring a century of happy living with good booze and delicious processed meat.

Cheers to many more Bloody Mary breakfasts and plenty of brown mustard.
