WASHINGTON — Brad Moore set a high bar on the first weekend of the inaugural Peoria River City Association city bowling tournament at Plaza Lanes.

Moore took the early all-events lead in Division A with a 2,245 total, averaging just below 250 for his nine games. He rolled sets of 732 in doubles, 733 in singles and 780 in team.

Ryan Driskill is in second in all events with 2,189, but did take the lead in A singles. He converted the 7-10 split on his way to a 739 series to lead Moore by six pins.

In A doubles, the brother duo of Mike and Bob Baker lead with a 1,522. Mike Baker Jr. had games of 255, 245 and 242 for a 742, while Bob Baker added 255, 290 and 235 for a 780.

We Found A Lefty leads A team with 2,798. Anchorman Adam Burnette led the way with a 792, Luke Morris added 736, Trey Coffey (the lefty) 683 and Paul Mauschbaugh 587.

In Division B, Andre Campos leads scratch (2,043) and handicap (2,340) all events. He had series of 677 in singles, 693 in doubles and 673 in team. Campos and Moore also lead Division A handicap doubles with 1,527.

Joe Wolf is the B leader in scratch (723) and handicap (792) singles, while Jeff and Garrett Sanders lead doubles with 1,455.

The B team leader is Table Flippin Ten Pin, with membes Josh Wensel, Kevin Reardon, Ron Haskovec and Vinny Napolitano at 2,900. Napolitano led the team with a scratch 707.

The tournament runs for two more weekends, and there also will be squads the next two Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. by reservation only.
