The sad scenes will see Steph (played by Tisha Merry) arrive back in Weatherfield to attend Luke’s (Dean Fagan) funeral.

Steph will be rocked by the tragic circumstances surrounding his death after he was brutally murdered by Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) last week.

After a tense car chase, Luke’s vehicle was pushed off the road as Phelan shot him.

Not stopping there, Phelan finished the job by blowing up his car.

However, grieving girlfriend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) will conclude that racist thugs the Parker brothers killed Luke after he defended her against them.

Now that Steph is back on the scene, will she uncover the truth about Phelan?

Last seen on the ITV soap in January 2017, actress Tisha was spotted in new paparazzi spoiler photos.

Steph can be seen among the other mourners, including Alya Nazir, Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia), Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).

Phelan will also shock viewers when he attends the funeral to pay his last respects to Luke.

Actor Dean teased that his character's murder would spark the beginning of the end for Phelan, explaining: “I was excited to realise that I was going to be a pivotal part of the start of Phelan's demise and the start of the unravelling – that someone else has found out the truth and he has now killed again, which is a desperate act and one that is going to eventually start more questions being asked.”

He continued to Digital Spy: “The Phelan era is huge and he has played such a massive part in the Street, so to be involved in that is brilliant. Luke will play his part in the whole endgame.”
