It’s a track record that could see an ex-high school athletics coach spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Thirty-year-old Carlos Deangelo Bell pleaded guilty on Friday to sexually abusing 42 boys while working at two different schools.

The Waldorf, Md. man admitted fault to 27 charges, including sexual abuse of a minor, attempted transmission of the HIV virus and filming child pornography.

News outlet ABC 13 reported cops started investigating Bell in December 2016 after receiving a tip about alleged inappropriate behaviour between the disgraced coach and a student.

“A student’s parent observed suspicious text messages on their child’s phone that were sexual in nature,” Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry told ABC 13.

Bell was later arrested and fired from his jobs as an educational aide at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School and as a track coach at La Planta High School.

He was indicted on 205 charges involving sexual abuse of 42 victims. He pleaded not guilty to 10 child porn charges, NBC Washington reported.

Police say they found sexually explicit images of Bell assaulting boys on electronic devices he owned. Berry said some of the abuse happened on school property and at his home.

Bell informed cops after his arrest he was HIV positive. While students were tested for the virus, it’s unknown whether they have tested positive for it.

Prosecutors are recommending a sentence of up to 190 years. Bell will be sentenced March 28.
