Fresno police checkpoints keep DUI drivers off the road

Fresno police were out in full force looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. (KFSN)

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) --
Fresno police were out in full force looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drug Saturday night.

The department held a checkpoint near Clovis and Lamona Avenues between 6 pm and 4 am. Police say six people were arrested for driving under the influence.

Authorities are already planning similar operations for this week
